www.thefarmcabins.com you will be able to see many pictures with our pricing for each cabin. Please come for a visit in person to really get a feel for how adorable these cabins and cottages are. We will be posting more pictures of the cottages as fast as we can. There are 2 cabins and 3 cottages to choose from when spending time in the beautiful mountains of Western North Carolina. We are located less than a mile off 19/23 on Justice Ridge Rd.and only 8 miles from the center of Asheville. Each of the cottages has a full kitchen and laundry and 2 cottages will each sleep 6 with the other cottage and 2 cabins sleeping 4 each. Our total beds available are 24.

Having adorable cottages and cabins available is such a plus when you are looking for a place to have a wedding, family get together or just need extra room for your Holiday guests. Your guests will love you for allowing them to stay in such luxury !!!!

Best Headboard Ever

"does this look like a headboard to you?" is all I had to say to Myron and in less than 3 hours from the time we saw this piano sound board hiding behind a pile of chairs 45 min. away from The Farm Cabins and Cottages, it was hanging on the wall in Clara Parker Cottage !!! You just have to come see it and make music as you go to sleep !!!!

The Cabins are done and being put to good use !!!! Our cottages will be different than the cabins but still comfortable and relaxed. A little Arts and Crafts feel with a rustic splash. The 2 larger cottages have 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, a fireplace, sleeping area for 2 extra guests if needed ( sleeping a total of 6 guests), a kitchen with a separate eating area , laundry facilities and of course a living room. The smaller cottage has 2 bedrooms ( sleeping a total of 4 guests), 1 bath, laundry, kitchen and dining area and living room.

We have named them : The Parker cottage, The Cooper Cottage, and The Morgan Cottage. To honor the families that built them so many years ago and hold those families history in their walls!!!

Cabin #2 is close to the pasture so the view from the porch is wooded as well as a view of the pasture. The King and twin beds are made with sumptuous linens ( which by the way come gift wrapped and we are able to sell from our office).

Cabins are ready !!!

We have our certificate of Occupancy !!!! The Cabins are ready to rent !!!!! We are thrilled to announce that we are open for guests....more pictures of the inside next week.

We have passed ALL of our inspections

We are happy to announce that we have passed all the inspections and are now waiting for Raleigh to send back our Certficate of Occupancy (CO). They have already had the documentation for 2 weeks, hopefully they won't delay us to much longer!!!!!

The beds arrive tomorrow, we have put up most of the towel bars in both cabin bathrooms, they are cleaned, windows sparkling, blinds up and sized correctly, cable has been run for the internet, porch furniture placed.....we are ready for furniture and to put in all the little cutsie touches. We should be ready with all the funiture in place and beds made by the end of next week. It seems that everyone in our family wants to get a night in the cabins to try them out to make sure all the "bugs" have been worked out and they are ready to rent !!!!

We are ready to started the rehab on the other houses and just have to get those permits. Myron already has plans to build a chapel someday. .... It never stops around here, you just have to come for a visit to see it for yourself.....We would love to have you stop by just to take a look.

Thurs June 18,2009 Asheville Cabins come to life

The plumbing is done, with the inspection on Friday, the electrical has passed the inspection, touch-up painting is done today. We are waiting for the sewer inspection and then sending that to Raleigh, NC ... we are planning to be able to move furniture in at the end of next week !!!! With the HUGE down pour of rain we experienced yesterday, it was good ... we could see where we needed to do a few different drainage projects.

Between rain storms we are getting all those little things done that are time consuming. The landscaping is in progress as we speak, electrical inspection is today, plumber is coming in Fri. to set the sinks and commodes, painters are doing their touchups on Monday. Beds have been ordered, linens are here, furniture has been ordered with construction on the couches starting today. We are picking up rain barrels this afternoon to take the rain from the wooden gutters that were made yesterday!!! Now we are going over our lists to make sure we have everything taken care of. There must be something !!!!

Cabin 1 is painted with yellow milkpaint like effects. The morning kitchen is in progress, the back porch with the fireplace is looking good...with railings in progress. The reclaimed lumber floor is down and looks fabulous !!! Can't wait to take pictures that will show off how beautiful it all looks .

Whats next ?

The painting is almost done inside with just the trim to get finished. The shower floors are done with the river rocks , the wood floors should be going down in the next 2 weeks, Tubs will be installed shortly, we are working on the railings around the porches ..... we are getting things done !!!!

Well, they are finally under roof and we are hopeful that our cabins will be ready for the first of July, if all goes as planned. The plumber and electrician are both working today. I will post pictures as I can. They will be clad in reclaimed lumber on the ourside and as green as we can possibly make them. Jacuzzi's in each cabin, 2 fireplaces one in the living room and one on the porch overlooking the pasture and woods. They will be named after the origional owners of the buildings we harvested these beautiful boards from. Hope you can come enjoy their beauty as they are NOT just a hotel room NOR are they rustic style cabins with northwoods appointments....
