The Farm Cabins and cottages

The last of the cottages is in its final phase of construction and will be added on in April 2010. We are really excited to have all 5 completed and ready for our guests to enjoy. This has been a very busy year for all of us and especially Myron as he has made so much of the "cutesy" pieces for each cottage. From the tobacco-stake headboards in the Parker house,to the mirror and valence in the Cooper house, to the Mountain Laurel bedside table, picture frames and clothes hanger and full headboard all made from red barn wood and the full dinning room table in the Cooper house. Never mind the kitchen cabinets and other various items !!!! ( Does that list make you tired just reading it? well it should!!!) He will really enjoy this summer off??? Of course there is always something more to make, like the really fabulous gates and "just one more storage shed" !!!!

Thank you to those who have come to visit and see what we are up to !!! We love hearing your comments...it makes it all worth while to get the cudo's and Oh, those thank you notes:

" We had such a wonderful stay at The Farm cabins this week. It was everything we had hoped for and more! The cabin was such a delight and was the perfect accommodation for our family. It was hard to leave yesterday, it truly felt like home ! Our oldest asked if we could live there! Thank you so much and we hope to see you again next year!"

" We wanted to thank you all for making our stay so comfortable and delightful! We loved loved loved the Chestnut Cabin-it was all we could ask for for our mountain getaway, esp. the fireplace ! -and definitely plan to visit again.
We realized after leaving we didn't write all of this in the guest book as planned, but we wanted to make sure you know how much we enjoyed ourselves and appreciated the little extras: the fire already laid, the shampoo we forgot, the cozy blanket by the fire, etc etc. Thank you for your thoughtfulness! Your cabin and property are wonderful."
